Show B: Jan 13 – Mar 17, 2026
TVAA Gallery, 2417 Bank Drive, Boise, ID
Prospectus
YOUR group of 2 to 6 TVAA artists proposes an exhibition for TVAA Gallery.
YOU pick the theme and content.
YOU design your own promotional graphics.
YOU install your own artwork.
YOU host your own opening reception.
TVAA curators are still here to help where needed.
Creativity with everything is always encouraged.
We are asking for a at least one sample piece per artist and 6 sample pieces per team.
Please include a group statement that describes what unifies the works in your proposed show (100 words or less). This can be considered preliminary and can be finalized before your exhibit.
- All 2D (wall mounted) and 3D mediums will be considered.
- While there are no size limits, there are practical limits to what the space and walls will support.
- Any subject matter will be considered.
- Pricing can be displayed. Sales are handled directly through the artists. Not-for-sale artwork is acceptable.
- Artwork must be original (not reproductions) except for work which is typically only shown as prints (photos, digital art).
- No AI-generated artwork.
- Please inquire early about special display needs.
- Please specify your preferred date range. Note that selecting all available options will give you a better chance of acceptance.
- It is possible that not all applications will be accepted.
Content Guidelines
Unlike some venues where TVAA exhibits, at TVAA Gallery we are not limited to family-friendly content, but please keep the following in mind:
TVAA Gallery represents TVAA and its members and is part our community. Our reputation in the community and with our members is a value worth preserving.
Political content, commentary or critique is acceptable as long as it is not hateful or promoting violence against any group or person.
Nudity and mildly erotic content is acceptable as long as it is not “pornographic” or child-oriented.
Any artwork that is felt by the TVAA Board to not represent TVAA in a responsible and positive light will not be accepted or will be removed from an exhibition.
If you have any questions or concerns about the above guidelines, which are admittedly difficult to define with full clarity, please contact the curator in advance of applying for a show or finalizing the intended artwork selection.
Selection Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated using selection criteria including the following:
- Quality of submission materials
- Appropriateness for displaying in the venue
- Strength and cohesiveness of concept

Acceptance of Work
See Application Procedure above for fees related to this exhibition. Artwork selected for the exhibition must be available from the installation date through the pick-up date. Substitutions will not be considered. If you think there will be a conflict in scheduling a particular artwork, please do not submit that piece. The Exhibition committee reserves the right to exclude any artwork for any reason, including not being appropriately prepared for installation.
Hanging Devices and Presentation
Each accepted artwork should be ready to hang with securely mounted D-rings and framing wire. Sawtooth hangers are not acceptable. Read this article for information on professional framing and appropriate hanging devices. The Treasure Chest Gallery uses a hanging system of cables and hooks which will not work with other types of hanging devices. Pieces without appropriate hanging devices will not be installed.
Frames need to be securely attached to artwork and in good condition. Unframed artworks, such as gallery-wrapped canvases, are acceptable as long as they have presentable edges (example: no visible staples and intentionally finished).
Please contact curator in advance for special display needs, such as especially heavy artworks, electricity needs, etc.
Delivery of Artwork
Accepted artwork must be delivered and installed during specified time and place (see below). All artwork should be labeled on the back with the artist’s name, the title of the piece and any special hanging instructions. This is important for properly identifying each piece, as signatures are sometimes hard to decipher. Artists will also be required to fill out, sign and deliver a release waiver in advance of the show. Please take your packing materials home with you, as there is no storage available at the gallery.
Sales
Each venue has specific policies regarding artwork sales, posting of prices and artist’s contact information. Neither TVAA nor the Gem Center will handle any sales.
When the show comes down, if the artwork has sold, artists are encouraged to donate 10% to TVAA, retaining 90% of the sale for themselves. Sold work must remain on exhibition for the duration of the show and can have a “red dot” on the label indicating the work has been sold. Purchases must be arranged between the individual artists and their buyers.
