Chelsea grew up in the small town of Preston, ID. She has been drawing on every scrap piece of paper she could get my hands on since she was knee high to a grasshopper. She never went to art school and didn’t do art classes in high school. She has always just doodled and dabbled until 2020 when I came across soft pastel YouTube tutorials. She was smitten with the big sticks of color, Her sweet husband bought her a set of unison pastels and she has been enamored ever since. And now 6 years later, what started as a covid hobby transformed into a passionate obsession!
Amy L. Bennick is an emerging book and collage artist. Driven by a love for bold color and striking design, Bennick’s self-taught practice integrates both hand and machine stitching to create intricate and dynamic compositions. Her artistic journey is profoundly influenced by the legacy of her father, Tom Bennick, whose work as a papermaker and letterpress artist instilled in her an early appreciation for the tactile qualities of paper and the art of crafted design.
