Artist Statement
The second of 3 of my Time series, a Cube of time passing through and affecting humanity and its massive influence on me as I aged. The piece represents time slipping through my fingers with images of people and things somewhat representative of various times in my and past history from the statue of David and before to Tom Brady playing football with multiple images of actors, artists and religious figure that I’ve experienced, watched, read about and dreamt of. From Freud to Einstein and Jim Crow to Dali images affecting me and passing through my time in this universe.
Artist Bio
Hi, Each piece is a stand alone 3D collage of various unique people places and things current, and in my past, with a working clock, yes it tells time. These 3 are a series addressing the Slipping of Time through our fingers and my personal tribute to Dali, David, Disney and Jesus, that those of us those over 70, may feel more connected to than younger folk. I wished to appeal to younger folk with the various characters but also to invite them to look deeper into the piece and possibly notice a person or a thing to connect with.
