Artist Statement
I took my first art class when I was thirty years old. I walked into the local art store clutching my supply list. The owner, seeing I was a student, asked if he could help. I said, “Yes, as soon as I touch every single thing in this store.” Since then I designed a line of Christmas cards and graduated with a BFA from BSU. I draw and paint things I love, especially the sagebrush country and birds. I paint with acrylics, gouache and my iPad. Most of the time my art begins charcoal or a good ol’ sharpened pencil.
