Artist Statement
I feel most at home out of doors. For many years, I worked outside and I’ve logged miles in hiking and wandering. Close contact with the earth has imbued me with a deep love and regard for our planet. In this piece, I try to project my feelings and hopes that there are many Guardians involved in securing and protecting this fragile earth, our island home. Materials: All fabrics hand dyed by the artist intentionally for this piece. Mounted on hand gilded canvas frame.
