Arethusa Falls
Acrylic
Artist Statement
Hiking up to Arethusa Falls in the Crawford Notch section of the White Mountains was easier when I was younger, but the view was worthwhile even when I went back later in life. I have good memories of hiking in the White Mountains of NH when I lived there. Now I have my paintings to remember as well.
Artist Bio
I took my first art lesson when I was in my 50s. Now in my 70s I am grateful to those teachers whose patience I surely needed. I am inspired by nature when I lived in the east and now in the northwest. I try to connect with the flow of the paint and the essence of the image. Painting has also helped me through some difficult times in my life’s journey. I keep trying to learn something new with each painting.
