Artists Statement
In the painting Jigsaw Puzzle the clouds dance sift and move across the vast sky creating shadow patterns across the open land. The land has its own patterns of light color and form. The two entities dance and shift creating interlocking shapes and patterns different form their original forms. An ever shifting jigsaw puzzle of land and sky. Part of the series Fragments and Elements this abstract landscape is painted with a balance of flowing soft clouds and their reflections with the contrasting solid round rolling shapes of the land.
Artist Bio
I am an artist who paints stories that speak of time, place and nature. My artwork is a contemporary fiction composed of fragments of thought, place, sight, myth, emotion, and dream. I am primarily a painter painting large expressive, colorful, imaginary abstract landscapes in oil, acrylic and mixed media. Nature is my muse and inspiration.
