Artists Statement
Napping in the savannah, this mother lion rests lightly while a curious baby looks on. The sunshine on their backs create ripples that you can almost fee in the mothers fur as she breathes
Artist Bio
When zoomed in, the dots of these artworks seem chaotic and random. When viewed from afar, the chaos becomes ordered and an image emerges. When stippling, and focusing on small areas, it is hard to step of of that mindset and consider the entire composition. The process of shading with dots is a head-game and I often have to leave the room and take a break to once again “see” the artworks as a whole. Based in Boise, Idaho, wildlife and nature are dominate themes in Heather’s artwork, as she hopes to inspire movements of conservation globally.
