Artist Statement
I excitedly snapped photos of the gorgeous open spaces on our way home through Utah while my husband drove. I was happy when I saw that I had captured the State Highway sign, because I was planning to start a series of paintings with highway signs, which would be titled, ” Roads I have Traveled.
Drawing and painting bring me joy and health. I have been creating art since I was a child aspiring to make beautiful pictures like my artist mother. Since I semi retired as an RN, I have been able to spend more time at my first love occupation. Every chance I get, I encourage children and adults who express an interest to practice create art at whatever level of experience they are currently at.
