Artist Statement
I began Flight to the Future soon after my retirement last May. The large bird represents the present, the other two birds the past and the future. I put the work away briefly
after the initial push. As I became more comfortable with my new reality, I revisited the piece and it flowed intuitively. Hopefully, this creativity will continue to expand as I enjoy having more free time and fewer obligations.
