Artist Statement
I have a distinct love for watercolor. It takes on a role of its own and acts as my “dance partner”, making choices that are out of my control and that often strengthen the final artwork. An underlying theme in my paintings is a love of the human figure and a deep connection with our natural world. I paint things that capture my interest, be it for aesthetic or sentimental reasons. I am happiest when I am able to freely explore the mysteries and beauty of the people, places and things that surround me in my beloved medium of watercolor.
