Staccato sets a mood. Staccato implies lightness, quickness, and wit. Staccato moves things along crisply, with verve and alacrity. Staccato is brisk and cheerful. Overused, Staccato can be just too much (like Sriracha), but used as an accent, its effect is stunning…in a good way.
I’m generally a happy and optimistic artist. I like to create texture, movement and contrast in pieces that reflect that optimism. I make no political or social statements, and simply want my art to cause conversations and be enjoyed. There’s nothing hugely deep or particularly philosophical on my canvases…simply deftly-colored creations that I sincerely hope you like to look at.
