Artist Statement
When I finished painting this bouquet, I was so happy. It’s a happy print/painting. And during these wacky times, we all need a happy bouquet!
I grew up on a farm west of Boise, and I still love growing stuff! Vegetables, flowers, cacti, succulents…. It’s so satisfying. And being surrounded by greenery and beauty is kind of like living in a sanctuary. It’s very peaceful. I love bringing this imagery into my art. Along with my sister imagery. They’re both part of who I am.
