Artist Statement
At the Last Glow of Evening before Nightfall The Clouds Skirt and Dart Reflections speaking in Soft Whispers across the Lake Before drifting into the Dark Water This imaginary abstract landscape started with charcoal and became enveloped in oil just like the clouds that fall into the watery depths of the lake.
I am an artist who paints stories that speak of time, place and nature. My artwork is a contemporary fiction composed of thought, place, sight, myth, emotion, and dream. I am primarily a painter, painting large expressive, colorful, and imaginary abstract landscapes, in oil, acrylic and mixed media. Nature is my muse and inspiration. I have a BFA, MA, and MFA in Painting. My artwork has been exhibited in numerous shows and galleries in California, New York, New Jersey, and Idaho.
