Artist Statement
During 2020, many people passed time by putting together jigsaw puzzles. Our cat, Tesla, always at my husband’s side, wanted to help him finish this 3000-piece map of the world.
Living a normal life from March 2020 through today has been difficult for everyone. However, as an artist, I discovered inspiration in the pandemic even as I was forced to change everything I did. These images came about from what I experienced and thoughts that arose. I am deeply grateful for the ongoing urge to record what I see and create art to communicate it to others, even in the time of COVID.
