Artist Statement
One thing that saved my sanity during the COVID lockdown was walking almost daily in Military Reserve. This moonrise greeted me one evening as I crested Eagle Ridge.
Living a normal life from March 2020 through today has been difficult for everyone. However, as an artist, I discovered inspiration in the pandemic even as I was forced to change everything I did. These images came about from what I experienced and thoughts that arose. I am deeply grateful for the ongoing urge to record what I see and create art to communicate it to others, even in the time of COVID.
