Artist Statement
When my brother was little, a teacher asked him what he wanted for his birthday. He wanted “the whole world with a little tractor running through it with a big ribbon around the whole thing.” I loved that visual and his imagination, so I painted it.
I started painting seriously when I retired five years ago. I have mainly done watercolor, but am expanding into acrylics because there are just some things that watercolor won’t do. I will literally paint anything, although people still present quite a challenge! Painting has expanded my life, my viewpoint and definitely improves my mood. I highly recommend it!
