Artist Statement
“Tacked” is a highly studied and meticulously drawn still life. Drawing with charcoal on paper, I carefully created a detailed interpretation of light and shadow and a gentle turning of form and fold. Patiently, I captured the grace and flow of a simple piece of cloth tacked to a wall.
Artist Bio
I consider myself fortunate that everyday I see beauty in nature, in people, and in the man-made. I consider myself doubly fortunate that I am able to capture, convey, and share that beauty with words, paint, pencils, and pixels.
