Artist Statement
A favorite barn I spotted in Middleton, Idaho. Construction is going on all around it so I don’t think it’ll last too much longer. It gives me satisfaction to know I can preserve a scene by painting it.
My mother said I was born an artist. Art is what I love! I’ve never been far from art workshops, class or anything to do with the art. I was volunteered to teach art at a school in Nampa where my children attended. A friend rekindled my passion by inviting me to a Pleinaire competition. With my children raised, this is a beautiful time in my life. By the rivers, on the mountain or in the backwoods, that’s where you will find me. Nature has become my most beloved art teacher.
