Artist Statement
“Bird on a Wire” is inspired by a photograph taken in New Meadows, Idaho. I was drawn to the quiet simplicity of the scene—a lone bird perched on a stretch of barbed wire near a mountain creek. Its unassuming beauty compelled me to transform the image into a watercolor pencil piece. There’s something deeply peaceful in its ordinariness, and that’s what I love most.
Creating is the thing I was put on this earth to do. It is my super power that brings me the most joy and excitement. And I love to share my talents, visions, and love of nature.
