Artist Statement
In this story of yawning tiger through bright colors, and smooth strokes. Tells the tail of a comfortable tiger. body posture for animals say’s much of what state they are in. Comfortable, relaxed and at the moment no need to be anywhere else. All is well.
I paint that what speaks to me and to bring the viewer into an intimate moment.
Sometimes I like realistic, sometimes abstract and sometimes whimsical. I love color and work primarily in acrylics but I also enjoy mixed media, sculpture and pastel.
I paint wildlife to start a conversation and bring awareness to their plight.
I have no formal art training so my work has evolved in an entirely self-taught manner.
