About the artist
Sunny Dawn has been making art for as long as she can remember. Early creations include books made out of construction paper, unicorn calendars, and painted furniture from before the age of ten. Initially her painting techniques developed during her high school years then, sporadically throughout her life paintings would emerge: watercolors, acrylics, pastels, and more recently oil. Her technique has become more refined, and art has now become her full time profession, working from her studio in Garden City. She has completed four murals this past year.
