Artists Statement
Each spring our apple tree in our garden gives me a multitude of images of apple blossoms and branch structure. I find it fun to take my camera out and zoom in on individual bunches to get compositions that I often paint. The display predates official summer a little bit, but it has come to be a sign to us that summer and apples are coming.
Artist Bio
Painting in watercolor is one of the joys of my life. My approach to watercolor painting is more impressionistic than strictly realistic and the things that I find beautiful and interesting are what I paint; therefore my feelings about the subject of the painting are meant to be communicated and that is what I strive for in general.
