Artist Statement
Giant anteaters are beautiful gentle giants. They grow 6 feet feet tall and have a 24 inch tongue.
They have long sharp claws to dig through dead wood to get ants and termites. They ball there fist up and walk like a bear. Anteaters are on the “Vulnerable list”
My expression of this work was to present what an amazing calm face anteaters have and how much they get around.
With each wildlife created there is a pull for that animal and a desire to “show case” the importance of their species. Having received no formal art training, her work has evolved in an entirely self-taught manner. She believe art brings us emotion and has a story to tell.
The beauty of the natural world highlights the interconnected dependency of wildlife and people on nature.
