Artist Statement
“Girl With Blue Eyes”” was from the Series “Children of the World”, the project I started recently raising an awareness on child exploitation, impoverished, at risk children. Using the photo reference with permission from Simon Lister, the photographer from Netflix TV documentary “Tales by Lights,” “Girl With Blue Eyes” was a young child around 13 years old who was wandering around the Kamalapur train station in Dhaka. It was later learned that she was a child exploited in prostitution. It is the story such as this that kept me inspired and wanting to make a difference anyway I can.
