Artist Statement
I enjoy all the many forms that plants take. These hostas were observed in a garden in Eagle, ID during a June plein air painting event.
I work on site and from life whenever possible, celebrating natural or man-made forms and patterns. My favorite subjects are from personal experience, celebrating the special places and creatures that nurture and inspire joy in myself and others. Though my artwork varies in subject and media, a central theme is celebrating the preciousness of our world.
