Artist Statement
Angels Landing is an 1488-foot high rock formation in Utah’s Zion National Park. This photo shows Scott’s Outlook, which is a rest stop before the last half-mile section of the hike which has metal chains which assist the climbers up the narrow trail. The direction of the sunlight and the short depth-of-field gives the photo the impression that it’s a painting.
