Following clouds, as I am quite prone to do, I find Montana’s First People’s Buffalo Jump, where I was rewarded with epic views of big Montana skies.
My most consistent ritual is communing with nature. I love a beautiful sunset, sunrise, a starry night or a chance encounter with wildlife. Observing the movement of the heavenly bodies in their vast, perfect synchronization connects me to it all. It grounds me. At sunset or sunrise, when the light bends over the horizon it is magnificent. When it refracts at the edge of trees or rocks or people or whatever it can be magical. I count it as a great privilege to capture the feeling of those special moments as best I can, and share it in my photographs.
