Rabbi Y’shia
Acrylic
Artist Statement
We have been attempting to do some genealogy research in my Feinberg family. A photo surfaced of this rabbi with some words marked on the back. We think it said “Rabbi Y’Shia Stebsa Dion”. Dion is a judge. He may have been my paternal great grandmother’s uncle or brother. This would have been in Russia. My father came from Minsk to America in 1914.
Artist Bio
I began the study of art later in life (in my 50s) while running my own home-based business (Z-Best Bookkeeping) in Manchester, NH. As a poet I create visual images and emotions with words. As an artist, I try to connect with the essence of the image aesthetically and spiritually. I work in oil, acrylics, pen and ink, colored pencil, watercolor and oil pastel. I moved to Idaho in 2017. My poems are now available as e-books on Amazon (Kindle) and for the Nook on Smashwords.com. I have an author page on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/author/lindafeinberg
