Oil on plywood
This is from a series painted on location and focusing on JR Simplot’s extensive tractor collection in downtown Boise, Idaho. I used only white or near-white paint over a dark colored board, with lines drawn through the wet white paint. I enjoy the names that these tractors come with as ready-made titles. Many of these machines are one-of-a-kind prototypes. I love that all of the gear and gadgets are exposed on these antiques.
