Marilyn expresses her fascination with detail and patterns through a variety of media: collages, drawings, and photography. She is fond of using string in her work which eludes to feelings of becoming entangled or unraveled.
Marilyn’s collages are published in Drawing Autism edited by Jill Mullin (2009) and Been There, Done That, Try This! edited by Tony Attwood (2014). Her 1:12 inch scale rooms, inspired by Frida Kahlo’s home, are found in American Miniaturist (May 2015). Her diorama of Boise’s Wing Hip Wo Herbal Shop is in Local Color, Boise 150: An Exhibition by the Treasure Valley Artists’ Alliance (2013).
