Artists Statement
This is my interpretation of Jack the Ripper. The foreboding shadows only illuminated by street lamps intensifies the drama of the piece. The figures face is mostly obscured in shadow but he clenches a blood knife in his hand as he stalks the streets of London.
Artist Bio
A published artist, writer, art professor and voice over actor, he recently moved to Idaho. He earned an M.F.A. (with honors) in Illustration from the Academy of Art and a B.A. in Graphic Arts from the University of Louisiana. His time is occupied with his artistic endeavors but he is also an avid artist rights advocate, having been recognized by the Los Angeles City Council for his volunteer work and contribution to the growth of the arts. His award winning work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, having traveled extensively; living & working at times in Norway, England and Japan.
