This series of images was inspired by my garden’s harvest and a photographic technique called light Painting. During the early days of the pandemic, I taught myself still life light painting photography. This has been a great way to marry my love of gardening with my passion for photography.
Light painting is a photographic technique where I use a small flashlight to illuminate areas of the subjects. The play of light resulting from this lighting technique, along with a long exposure in a very dark room, produces images with soft shadows and beautiful warm light, reminiscent of the Dutch Masters.
