Joan emphasizes that she is a grateful artist. She recently retired from a long career in nursing. Since then she has been pursuing her first love, painting and drawing, more regularly. A 9 year member of TVAA, Joan has shown her work throughout the Treasure Valley. In 2019 The Mad Dog Gallery in Challis, Idaho featured her works in a one man show.
