Buds Via Bee Eyes
Imagine what a bees sees when searching for nectar and pollen. Through thousands of tiny lens in their five eyes, they perceive three colors (blue, green and the ultraviolet spectrum) but not red. They can also distinguish between dark and light and patterns within petals which lead them to nectar and pollen in the center of the flower.
In my ink drawing, “”Buds Via Bee Eyes,”” I try to imagine a floral world of cool colors and intricate patterning–a world far beyond limited, human comprehension. And then my appreciation of those buzzing, little genius insects blossoms!
