Artists Statement
Deep in the jungle the canopy gave way to a cliff’s edge overlooking a broad canyon where I set-up my massive spotting scope. I perched on a nearby rock eagerly scanning the cliffs and trees below while awaiting the unmistakable call of the bird I had traveled to Belize to study. Artist Bio
Heather Haley is an artist from Boise, Idaho and has been fortunate enough to travel throughout the world. She began drawing and painting before she could speak in full sentences, and art was her first language. A degree in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology, Heather has always had a deep appreciation for animals and nature. The inability to quench her thirst for adventure, and her insatiable passion for wildlife, Heather uses vivid color to depict scenes from her imagination and experiences. Wildlife and nature are dominate themes in her artwork, as she hopes to inspire movements of conservation globally.
