Artists Statement
The varying colors of the sunset have always fascinated me. From pale, almost pastel hues to screaming hot colors that threaten to blind you if you look too closely, sunsets are the fingerprints of the evening sky – no two alike. Coming home to Nampa last year at the end of a long day, I realized the sunset was going to be spectacular. And even more so, reflecting on Lake Lowell. So I took a side trip and got my phone out. The resulting photographs were inspirations for this painting. Hope you enjoy!
Artist Bio
Debra Curry retired from the world of corporate America to pursue her joy for painting and her delight in promoting fellow artists through, Heartland Studios. As an award-winning artist, Debra’s colorful use of oils focuses on landscapes and flowers with the goal of lifting spirits and encouraging creativity in her audience.
