Artists Statement
I have known the young woman pictured since she was a toddler. Her hair has always been reddish orange, although now she highlights it in a bright pink rose color. I recently took the photo reference in the early evening as she stood in front of the tall bright blooms eating ice cream. I changed the color of the dress she was wearing just for the theme.
Artist Bio
I paint for pleasure and therapy. My hope is that I can share the beauty in everyday life with my viewers, causing them to pause and reflect.
