About the artist
Diane Ronayne was the first photographic artist to receive a Boise City Public Art Commission (“WaterWorks,” 2004), and her work is in the Boise City art collection. She is a founder of the Idaho Photographic Workshop (1983) and has exhibited work with IPW, TVAA and independently since then. Her portfolio stretches from realism to surrealism, from Idaho’s cities and outback to Mexico and Europe. Since 2020, she has been inspired by Boise’s urban environment to create a series of digital images expressing change.
“My message is that change is constant, so we might as well enjoy and explore it. I’m inspired by subjects, often unnoticed, that when digitally manipulated, create new and intriguing visions of “reality.” I will continue this work for as long as I see something interesting–which is ALL the time!”
