About the artist
I want those that see my work to experience the sense of being part of it. My work is often influenced by poetry and music. I believe creativity is informed by all the arts, nature, and humanity. Working in a larger format I experience a sense of belonging with my paintings. There is an intimacy that I feel when I use my palette knife, hand, or brush. Adding layer upon layer of color, the depth of paint reveals the life of the subject. As the image emerges there is that wonderful moment of recognition, Ahh….There you are!
