My artwork often includes assemblage pieces made from found or handmade objects. My pieces are seldom “finished” as I’m continually finding items to add to pieces in progress. Picture The Junk Lady in Labyrinth…continually picking up items and adding them to her person. I just add mine to pieces of art. When I saw the owl face called Martin created by artist Scott Radke, I knew it would take my piece to another level. I feel the best collaborations happen by accident. Two artists, 2000 miles apart, working in different mediums, yet creating magic.
Ohio based artist Scott Radke creates sculptures that surrealistically merge mythology, animals, and the natural world. Radke’s sculptures are handmade one by one with resin and painted in detail with acrylics, which makes them unique pieces.
