Carolyn Eardley

About the artist

I began painting 2 years ago to stimulate my mind and assist in working through physical pain and depression. Painting in an art journal helped me learn and understand what colors I enjoyed and went well together. When someone asked to purchase a piece, I bought a canvas to see if I could paint larger. I usually don’t know where a painting will end up. I begin just by spreading color. I work in layers and once I get into that flow of creativity, the painting evolves. Having a sense of mystery and staying curious keeps me trying.
