About the artist
In 2008, Bernard Echanow transitioned from directing landscape architectural design projects to . . . artist. He has explored portraiture, plein air, open form, and still life drawing and painting.
Bernard’s charcoal drawing, “The Invisible Chairman,” was accepted into California’s 2014 Orange County Fair. In the amateur division, the charcoal won “First Place in Drawing and Illustration.” It was the “Division Winner for Graphics” and it was awarded the “Best of Show.”
Bernard considers himself fortunate that every day he sees beauty in nature, people, and the man-made and is able share that beauty with words, paint, pencils, and pixels.
