Artist Statement
An enjoyable walk turned interesting as Spring arrived. I decided to set up my tripod and give the scene a paint. I loved the sky as it took on an evening glow! I took my time to get the best angle before I began painting. I tend to paint a scene as I see it. The challenge is painting before the sun sets!
My mother said I was born an artist. Art is what I love! I’ve never been far from art workshops, class or anything to do with the art. I was volunteered to teach art at a school in Nampa where my children attended. A friend rekindled my passion by inviting me to a Pleinaire competition. With my children raised, this is a beautiful time in my life. By the rivers, on the mountain or in the backwoods, that’s where you will find me. Nature has become my most beloved art teacher.
