Artist Statement
The butchered soul. Is representative of the horrible journey that was taken. BC broke me. This creation is the expression of how gutted and grotesque i felt. Its about finding the woman who rises up like a phoenix from the torched remains of what once defined me as a woman. This is me, I am a butchered woman who is rising to embrace all those before and after me. Remember that you are beautiful.
Life has been difficult. However, I find peace and comfort when I create pieces. This particular painting is from my soul and a part of my rising. Living my life the fullest i can, and understanding everyone is fighting a battle within that no one knows about.
