Artist Statement
This limited pallet piece depicts a bright blue river flowing towards you winding through warm flowing hills. Some of my effects show imperfections creating a life like quality. I was hoping to create a simplistic stillness and isolation for a moment of pause. I love the feeling of this remote, untouched landscape
My paintings are not meant to dictate a narrative or attempt to influence, but to offer space. They are quiet where the viewer is found in the moment.
My work expresses simplicity and calmness using oil, watercolor, occasionally plaster to add texture and curiosity to the viewer.
In most of my landscapes and still life hold different values, contrast and texture for tools which ultimately will bring out an emotion to any viewer
