Artist Statement
The lands represented on this map have transported us to places where the impossible became reality. Each territory on the map is a testament to the power of imagination or storytelling, and each authors ability to create worlds that captivated and inspired generations. The literary story lands (all now in the public domain) have lost none of their impact with passing time. Painted as a diptych it hangs and sells as one work.
My life has been enriched by the power of the written word and the vibrant world of painting. As an acrylic painter, I aim to share that inspiration with my viewers. My creations blend a modern use of bright colors with traditional techniques of smooth brush strokes and intricate details, resulting in imaginative fusions of realism and fantasy. My works captivate with whimsy and advocate for the protection of the written word.
