Artist Statement
The Resort shown in this image comes completely from my imagination. My inspiration comes from a desire to create an interesting yet relaxing place to visit that takes the viewer away from everyday routines and stress. It’s an imaginary place of repose and relaxation.
My passion is color and oil painting. The result is hundreds of canvases I’ve created over the last 55 years. Most have been sold through galleries in Arizona, California and Idaho or through my web page – RenaVandewater.com. I’m included in many public and private collections across the United States and a few in Europe. After my children were grown, I went back to school and earned a Masters of Fine Art degree.
