Artist Statement
This is a plein air piece that I painted for the Eagle Extreme Winter Challenge in January 2024. This happened to be one of the few beautiful spring like days during the month. I enjoyed capturing the unique charm of this historic downtown Boise theater.
I am a member of Treasure Valley Artists Alliance and Plein Air Painters Of Idaho. I enjoy creating impressionist oil paintings of landscapes, architecture, animals and people. Whenever possible, I paint from life to learn about my subjects and to make an emotional connection.
