Artist Statement
As this summer rolls on, I turn to art forms I can do right now; watercolors and drawing.
A pen and ink watercolor, inspired by one of my favorite artists, Sandrine Pelissier. Base layers are done in washes of various Daniel Smith and M Graham pigments. Topped with sparkling, FineTec iridescents.
If our eyes are the windows to our souls, then the items we fill our lives with allow others to peek inside. For me, art is a link to my past and a bridge to the future.
Creating makes me happy, I hope my art makes you happy, too.
I’m primarily self-taught. I’ve sold locally and nationally via venues including Holiday bazaars, art shows and retail businesses.
